Specialising in mechanical, electrical and plumbing building services including property care and refurbishment services, this M&E Contractor operates both locally and nationally.
They also have a wide experience of working as principal contractor with full responsibility for all installation and design requirements, including building and ground works as necessary, on major mechanical and electrical projects.
Based in Nottingham, the Electrical Division employs 14 head office staff (Engineers, Designers, Trainees) and over 50 operatives (Foremen, Electricians, Apprentices) on sites throughout the UK.
These all work on contracts for industrial and commercial buildings, prisons, hotels, and the Ministry of Defence. Turnover is over Ј12m p.a.
You will have responsibility for all electrical staff on site, through your electrical site Foreman * Supervisor.
You will also cover health & safety, planning all work, purchasing all materials and equipment and sub-contractors, and liaison internally with your Designers, Estimators, CAD Technicians, Mechanical Project Engineers (where contract is joint M & E - possibly taking the lead in such contracts) and other central services. Externally, as a Project Engineer you will meet regularly with your client and main contractor to establish good working relationships.
